WORKING FOR WILLINGTON
Since 1995
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer credible and accountable officials who will show leadership and possess distinct moral and ethical standards rooted in the democratic process. We will provide teamwork and communication between town boards, board members, and townspeople to establish responsible, common-sense government.
Sentinels are proud of our key leadership roles in Willington's achievements over the last sixteen years:
Sentinels completed necessary modifications to the schools and town buildings to meet new federal accessibility requirements. We wired our school and government facilities to upgrade our internet and communication technologies. We helped complete the thirty-year dream of affordable senior housing.
Sentinels implemented a true working plan to project the costs of capital projects and manage our long-term debt. We consolidated the school and town finance functions for better efficiency, consistency, and transparency. We computerized town records for greater accessibility and integrity, and to save office space.
Sentinels proposed a new community library and helped make it a reality. Sentinels expanded the Town's recreational opportunities through proposal of and support of construction of the River Road Recreational Area. We completed infrastructure projects — replacement of the bridges on Village Hill, Clint Eldredge, and Kechkes Roads. Sentinels consistently advocate strong road policies and funding for maintaining our existing roads, thus avoiding the larger unnecessary expense of replacing roads prematurely, which would be a burden to our taxpayers.
Sentinels are proud to work for Willington - preserving the past, planning for the future and managing our present in an honest and forthright way.
